Introduction
GeoLiquefy LLC ("GeoLiquefy", "we", "us") builds geohazard intelligence tools used by geotechnical engineers, infrastructure developers, insurers, and researchers. This privacy policy describes what information we collect when you visit our marketing website at geoliquefy.com, how we use it, and what choices you have.
This policy covers geoliquefy.com only. Our product, the Liquefaction Hazard Engine at open.ngl.geoliquefy.com, is governed by its own terms and privacy practices when user accounts are introduced. If you only browse geoliquefy.com, this is the only document that applies to you.
Information we collect
When you visit geoliquefy.com, our analytics provider records standard web traffic data:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Pages you visit on the site, and the order in which you visit them
- The page that referred you to the site, if any
- Approximate location derived from your IP address, typically at city or region level
That is the full scope of data we collect from passive browsing. We do not have signup forms, contact forms, newsletters, or user accounts on this website. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, employer information, or any other identifying details unless you proactively contact us by email or book a demonstration through our calendar booking link.
If you email us, we keep that email and any reply we send for as long as the working relationship continues, plus a reasonable period afterward for record keeping. If you book a demo, the calendar service handles your booking under its own privacy practices, and we receive only the calendar entry with your name and email.
How we use information
We use analytics data to understand how visitors find and use the site, which content is read, and where the experience could be improved. The aim is to make geoliquefy.com clearer for the engineers and risk modelers evaluating our work.
We use email and demo booking information to respond to your inquiry and to follow up about a possible engagement. We do not use it for any other purpose.
We do not profile visitors, build advertising audiences, or share your data with anyone for marketing purposes.
Cookies
We use a small number of analytics cookies that allow our analytics provider to count unique visits and understand basic usage patterns. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without losing the ability to view the site. Disabling them will slightly reduce the analytics we receive.
Third parties
The site relies on a small set of vendors:
- An analytics provider, used to record the traffic data described above
- A scheduling provider, used for the calendar link visitors use to book a demonstration
- A web hosting provider, where the site is served from
We do not name specific vendors in this policy because they may change over time. A current list is available on request by emailing contact@geoliquefy.com.
When you click a calendar booking link, you leave geoliquefy.com and interact directly with the third-party scheduling service. That service's own privacy notice governs that interaction. We receive the resulting booking, but the scheduling itself is between you and them.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share data only with the vendors above to operate the website, and only when legally compelled by subpoena, court order, or similar legal process. If we receive such a demand, we review it carefully and respond no more broadly than required.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for the default retention window of our analytics provider, which is typically between 14 and 26 months depending on the provider's settings. We do not retain copies separately. Email correspondence and demo booking records are retained for as long as the relationship is active, plus a reasonable period for our own records.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can email us at contact@geoliquefy.com to ask what data we hold about you, request correction or deletion, or ask that we restrict how we use it. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We rely on legitimate interest, for analytics, and contract, for responding to your inquiries, as the lawful bases for processing.
If you are in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To exercise any of these rights, email contact@geoliquefy.com.
International data transfers
GeoLiquefy operates from the United States and India. Your data may be processed in either country, or in the country where our analytics, scheduling, or hosting providers operate. For transfers from jurisdictions that require additional safeguards, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, email contact@geoliquefy.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent update. If we make a material change, we will post a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
